Guidance
Planning for college is complex, but it is manageable for students who begin early and take one step at a time. At the same time it is important to remain focused on the academic work required in junior and senior year. A successful college application is both on-time and supported by good high school grades.
The college admissions process begins in earnest this year, then
accelerates during your senior year. Juniors need to explore careers and then seek out college programs that those careers require.
In the fall of your
junior year you will take the PSAT test. This results of this test will help you prepare for the SAT. In the spring of your
junior year, you'll take the SAT. Some students also take the ACT in the spring of junior year.
Junior Guidance Emphasis
