Freshman Field Day:
The Retreat program at St. Agnes is an integral part of the experience of community. Freshman Field Day takes place at the Marist Brothers Retreat House in Esopus, New York during the first weeks of school. The retreat is led by juniors and seniors and is a means of welcoming each new class to our school community, introducing them to their peers and teachers and instilling the strong sense of family at St. Agnes.
The Marist Youth Encounter Christ program involves three inter-scholastic four-day retreats at the Marist Brothers Retreat House in Esopus, New York. During each introspective retreat, students meet with peers from other Marist schools and share in the experience of self-reflection and the exploration of their relationship with God and with the community. Encounter retreats are open to juniors and seniors.
Each Memorial Day weekend, students from Marist schools around the world travel to Marist College in Poughkeepsie, New York to celebrate and share the Marist tradition. Students participate in leadership workshops and team-building activities throughout the weekend and coordinate projects to develop in their school community. Marist Youth is open to sophomores.
Seniors at St. Agnes spend a day in Esopus, New York with their classmates and teachers, reflecting on the experience of being a St. Agnes student and preparing for the future. Students reminisce through discussions and activities and share in celebration of their accomplishments.
