National Honor Society

There are 16 senior members of the St. Marcellin Champagnat Chapter of the
National Honor Society.  The NHS is one of the most prestigious national
organizations for high school students.  It recognizes the best and
brightest of our Stags.  Students are chosen by the faculty to be inducted
into this group based on their academic excellence, impeccable character,
strong leadership in the school itself and in the larger community around
them,  and on their service to others. It is a high honor to be selected
to the NHS.

Tutoring Sessions:

A concrete demonstration of all of these qualities (scholarship,
character, leadership and service) is found at the NHS tutoring sessions
held four days a week.  This service is available Tuesday through Friday
from 7:50 until 8:10 AM in Room 401.  Tutors from the NHS are present to
work one-on-one with students.  Help is provided in any subject, including
Math, Science, Spanish, etc.  Students who are struggling with one or more
subjects are strongly encouraged to take advantage of this free
opportunity provided by the NHS at St. Agnes.  Any questions regarding
this program for your sons can be addressed to Ms. Murphy, NHS moderator,
at cmurphy@staghs.org.
