Sophomore Guidance

Sophomore year is an important year because students are required to take at least two Regents Examinations, one in Global Studies and one in mathematics.

In addition, sophomores take the Preliminary Scholastic Aptitude Test (PSAT) in October. This is a practice test for the SAT College Examination, which students take at the end of their junior year.

Sophomore Guidance Emphasis

  • Standardized Testing/Academic skills
    evaluation - PSAT
  • Consolidation of educational gains
  • Regularly scheduled guidance interviews
